In 2020, Ryan Slechta started posting daily prayers and opening the space for anyone to share their requests. What he witnessed was more than kind replies—it was the quiet power of people lifting one another before the Lord. Those uplifting responses stirred something deep in him: a love for bringing prayer, centered on Jesus, into every space that needed it.

Ryan noticed how easily prayer can be missing from the places we live, work, and gather. We know that many of us are faithfully praying at home—individually and as families. That is beautiful, essential, and deeply needed. Yet we have seen something even greater take place when we step out of our individual spaces and intentionally gather in person—as one body, with one mind—to pray over an area together. We long to unite the body of Christ, tear down denominational walls, and stand together in prayer as one family under Jesus.

Prayer is one of the most powerful ways we communicate with God. It shifts atmospheres and invites His presence. Scripture calls us to be peacemakers (Matthew 5:9). How can we fully answer that call if the spaces around us are not first made ready for the Lord to move?

Prayer Garden Foundation exists to cultivate those spaces.

We believe that prayer in Jesus prepares the ground. In landscapes that feel heavily divided, it becomes the fertile soil where bridges can begin to form. Our desire is simple and sacred: to tend a garden of prayer with our Creator, so that faith can take root, grow, and come alive.

Through prayer events and walks, we gather to pray over our communities and over one another. We long to help the body of Christ stay in constant communion with our Lord and Savior, nurturing each person’s personal relationship with Him. We also know that Jesus has given every believer unique gifts and callings. Through prayer we seek to help people discover those gifts, encourage them, and strengthen them for the work ahead.

At the heart of everything we do is a single calling: to help unite the body of Christ and bring faith into action—so that, in whatever small or large ways He leads, it may be “on earth as it is in heaven.”
